Welcome to Space Skate Store, the online store behind theSpace Dunbar where the spirit of community and the power of youth drive everything we do. Rooted in East Lothian, we are a Community Interest Company (CIC) with a long-standing commitment to creating transformative spaces that inspire action, learning, and enterprise. Our goal is to build a new inclusive, sustainable future for Dunbar—a space that promotes creativity, connection, and opportunity for all.
Our Story
Our journey began over 15 years ago with theSpace North Berwick, a pioneering project that brought people together in an innovative, youth-powered community hub. The Space grew naturally, inspired by the need for social and recreational spaces where young people and the community at large could gather, grow, and thrive. From music and skateboarding to a cafe and a community-led workspace, theSpace North Berwick offered something for everyone, creating unforgettable experiences and strong community ties along the way. Though we closed our doors in 2015, the vision lived on, and we are thrilled to announce our return with theSpace Dunbar in partnership with Eweford Farm.
Our Mission
At theSpace Dunbar, we are more than a venue—we are a movement dedicated to empowering and connecting people across generations. Our project is designed to reflect the energy, ideas, and passion of our youth and community, supporting local development while fostering creativity, social connections, and sustainability. theSpace Dunbar will offer a range of high-quality, multi-use activities, including a skatepark, climbing wall, cafe, performance space, and an social hub, all thoughtfully designed to bring people together and make a lasting impact.

Our future space in Dunbar is not only a hub for activities but a foundation for community resilience, inclusivity, and environmental sustainability. We are excited to bring a bold, multi-generational Action, Learning, and Enterprise Hub to life. Designed to meet the needs of a rapidly growing population, we will offer diverse programs and facilities, fostering an environment where individuals, families, and groups can find meaningful experiences, skills, and connections. Together, we are building a Dunbar where everyone belongs and thrives.
